Age is no barrier in the sport of Triathlon, where each year Senior Athletes aged 18 to 89yrs compete for the title of world champion within their respective age category.

No matter if you are aiming to improve your performance, take part in your first Triathlon or compete at world level. DR Triathlon has the experience and know how to guide you on your sporting journey.

DR Triathlon aims to provide Junior group sessions that promote participation. This produces a squad with wide ranging abilities, helping us grow the sport and find overwise hidden talent.

Working with Malaysian Triathlon we provide a development pathway for Major events that are years in the future. This involves Annual Training Plans, periodisation and development in areas of weakness, for the State team as a whole.

Within this system all athletes have the opportunity to develop and show their talent, however some juniors may need more individual attention than can be offered in group sessions alone.

Checkout the one-to-one sessions or personal coaching plans that are as available to committed juniors as they are to any DR Triathlon Senior coached athlete.


‘Don’t count laps. Make every lap count!’

Swimming is probably the most technical of the disciplines within Triathlon. Working hard in the pool will make you fitter, stronger and ultimately faster. However, this can only take you so far, the key to swimming fast is developing and maintaining a good technique.

Developing a good technique is what we like to call ‘Free-Speed’ unfortunately that doesn’t mean it costs nothing. What it means is extra speed without any extra effort.

DR Triathlon provides expert analysis, identification of stroke flaws then specific drills and swim sets to correct those flaws. This can be provided together with performance testing, speed and conditioning sets to move you on to the next level in your swim.

‘Nothing can beat a long hard ride, so train smart to stop long hard rides beating you!’

It has been said that the best way to improve as a cyclist is spend more time on the bike! However, there are certain factors to consider before you hit the road and spend hours in the saddle:

Are you safe? A rider may need to gain confidence, maybe basic skills to ride on the road or safely in a group. Closed road coached sessions work on bike skills, strength and fitness making you a safer more confident cyclist or group rider.

How much time do you have? Are there quicker more efficient ways to improve certain elements of you’re cycling, you can train smarter and gain better results in less time.

What’s your focus? Indoor trainer sessions and threshold testing can provide more focused VO2 max, power threshold and technical performance gains. DR Triathlon can structure sessions, set threshold zones, improve technique and analyses your data to achieve the best results.

Running has got to be the least complicated of sporting disciplines to take part in, anybody can run right? No complicated kit to get together, it is so easy to just put on a pair run shoes go out the door and run!

But is it that simple to become a better runner? For sure that will show results but to reach your full potential, there maybe a little more to it.

So many energy systems are used and need to be worked on to become an all-round runner. Applying certain strength and conditioning techniques and ensuring good form are other areas that will make you a faster runner that is less inclined to injury.

DR Triathlon 1-2-1 coaching can help implement correct run form, structure effective run sets, check your thresholds and help work all the essential energy systems to maximise your run potential.

Such is the focus on swim, bike and run in our sport, athletes can sometimes neglect Strength and conditioning work, it is however one of the most important parts of our training schedule. Weak core stability can cause poor posture/technique, an inability to hold race form or even worse susceptibility to injury.

Strength and conditioning should be applied to an athlete’s weekly schedule. It should include early season maximal strength gym work, year round core stability, plyometric’s and flexibility training.

DR Triathlon provide one to one and online personal coaching to supplement an athletes training plan or for clients just wanting to improve their overall fitness, flexibility and strength.
