Fartlek is a Swedish word for speed play and that is exactly what its purpose is, varying your pacing not only improves you aerobic and anaerobic capacity but gives real pace awareness for racing. It enables you to find another gear and gives confidence that you can maintain it.
Session will consist of a short warm up, some drill work and run form preparation for the main set. The main set is a continuous run so an endurance set for over 15’s but is broken down with some rest periods for the younger juniors.
